TransCaer Hazmat Training in Port Huron

Since work would not let me out due to manning levels to go here, I went on my off duty day to gain some excellent hands on training. The training was located at the Amtrak Station in Port Huron. The training covered DOT tank trailers and railroad tankcars. Training was outstanding, too bad more personnel from Selfridge did not attend. Sarnia FD, Port Huron FD, and three from Emmett FD (they left at lunch) all were in attendance.

CN & Dow Chemical were the hosts of the training. A lot of planning went into this and I must say they did an outstanding job. Thanks to those involved.

One of three trains during the times between 8 am and 330 pm.

Sarnia firefighters telling us how they do it across the river! :)
It was nice meeting you all, eh?

It was a gloomy day and the sun did not come out until I was leaving. At least it did not rain. Thanks to the Salvation Army for the snacks. That was nice.
