Port Huron House Fire on Jay Street

I was sitting up at the Amtrak station waiting for trains with my son Joe when the Port Huron fire tones rang out on the scanner. The street was only a few over to the east from the station and I arrived just as the first pumpers got there. I put the young one on my shoulders and grabbed the Nikon D70 for some firefighting photos. The Port Huron FD made some quick work in knocking the fire down, and getting a good save on the structure. There was smoke damage, but the integrity of the house looked good, and they did not have to cut through the roof for ventilation.
